《随风而逝》作品描述了两个小女孩之间关爱、温暖、信任、勇敢、守望的情节，故事巧妙处理时代风云背景，着力构建悲欢合离下的人性感动，营造善良、信念、执着、守候等色彩，是一部对抗当下许多“宣扬暴力、生命不死、宣传恶俗”动画的类型作品。将爱、温暖、关怀等作为创作的核心元素，前期设计中充分考虑人物角色的个性、环境、服装等时代及民族特性，主旨理念符合社会主义核心价值观要求，同时与国际人文理念相融。
